Frequently Asked Questions
What are THC Carts?
A THC cartridge is a pyrex glass tube that contains concentrated THC oil. The cart uses a built-in atomizer activated by a reusable battery base. Once activated, the atomizer heats up and vaporizes the THC (or CBD) oil within the tube. As the oil heats up, you use the mouthpiece attached to inhale the THC or CBD vapor. That’s where the term ‘vaping’ comes from, and it’s how vaping THC differs from smoking. When you vape, you’re not inhaling burnt hemp flower but vaporized THC or CBD.
What is a THC Vape?
A THC Vape, also known as a THC vape pen or cartridge, is a device used to vaporize and inhale THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive compound found in cannabis.
Are there terpenes in my weed cart?
The short answer is yes. Terpenes are the chemical compounds found in plants that are responsible for essential oils, giving plants a distinctive taste and aroma. Both cannabis and hemp plants contain several different types of terpenes. This is why certain strains smell or taste a particular way. The most common ones will have a lemony scent or piney flavor. During certain extraction processes, the essential oils are usually lost. The exception is Live Rosin extracts, which maintain the true terpene profile. However, those same terpenes can then be added back into the distillate to help give the extract back some of the fragrance and flavor that was lost. That’s what gives our THC carts such bold flavors and enticing smells.
How do I choose the right THC Vape cartridge?
When choosing a THC Vape cartridge, consider factors like the strain, potency, flavor, and the reputation of the brand. It’s advisable to buy from reputable sources to ensure quality and safety.
Can I refill my THC Vape cartridge?
Some THC Vape cartridges are refillable, while others are designed for one-time use. Check the packaging and instructions provided by the manufacturer to determine if your cartridge is refillable.
How should I store my THC Vape cartridge?
It’s important to store your THC Vape cartridge in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This helps preserve the quality and potency of the THC oil.
What's in THC carts?
A THC vape cartridge typically contains concentrated THC oil. All of Eighty Six’s carts contain premium hemp extracts that are third-party lab-tested to verify their purity and potency. That means every product we sell comes with a COA (certificate of analysis) on the package, and we post all of our lab results publicly on our Lab Reports page. When shopping for any carts online, you want to be sure that your THC cart is pure. Sketchy sellers may add other fillers to their carts or may not have them tested, which means they could contain contaminants or heavy metals. There’s no guarantee they would contain any THC or CBD. That’s why buying products from only the brands you trust is imperative.
How does a THC Vape work?
THC Vapes work by heating the THC oil or concentrate inside the cartridge to a temperature that produces inhalable vapor. This vapor is then inhaled through the mouthpiece.
Is THC Vaping safer than smoking traditional cannabis?
While THC Vaping eliminates the harmful effects of smoking, it’s important to note that the long-term safety and health effects are still being studied.
What are the benefits of using a THC Vape?
